For 5 consecutive years, the DMG has conducted an anonymous but defined Employee Satisfaction & Engagement Survey to over 10,000 employees with consistent response rates well above the national averages. The initial survey achieved 68.2% response rate growing to an impressive 78.2% year to date. Employee benefits were an expressed area of opportunity. After a targeted follow-up survey, recommendations were made to improved childcare initiatives and thus the introduction of flexible working hours was made. Another area of opportunity was in the area of the establishment of a corporate identity and update of activities to the masses. Recommendations were made regarding restructuring the management reporting levels resulting in a clearer channel of communication. With these and other ongoing recommendations, profit per head count has soared over 12% over the past 48 months due to the achievement of many goals and strategies derived from the detailed data analysis. These results have occurred most recently in times of economic uncertainty and ´recession´ thus proving the Return on Investment of our services.
The DMG was commissioned by this Global Market Leader to aid in the feedback during a three-day global customer conference regarding event feedback, new product introductions and future initiatives. After the morning sessions of each day, surveys were available over both the telephone and Internet for all possible respondents. The DMG strategically placed computer terminals in various breakout, refreshment, and communal areas for Internet access to the surveys. Respondents could also access via toll free landlines, mobile or wireless mobile devices. Responses to the survey were then collected, collated and analysed within 1 hour of completion. Results were delivered in alpha and graphical presentation format for the afternoon sessions and actual respondent voice file recordings were also used for added affect. As a result of the surveys, this Global Market Leader saw a dramatic reduction in queries normally associated with new product launches and they have increased conference attendance rates due to improved practices. The relationship is ongoing.
